What h2made values
h2made is a design and research studio. We make tools for keeping in touch with the people you work with, starting with Local CRM for iPhone, iPad and Mac. These are the six values we design by, and where you can see each one in what we ship.
Your data lives with you.
Contacts, notes and conversations are some of the most personal records you keep. Local CRM stores them on your device. When you want them on your other devices too, they travel through your own iCloud account, never through ours. We don't run a server for them to go to.
- Everything is stored on the device you're using
- iCloud sync stays off until you turn it on, device by device
- No account to create, no tracking, no server for your data
Nothing is lost without asking.
Deleting should be a decision, never an accident. Every delete and removal in Local CRM asks first, and the question says exactly what goes, what stays, and whether the change will reach your other devices.
- Deleting a contact says that its notes and timeline go too, and its todos stay
- Swiping to delete still asks before the row disappears
- Empty rows in an editor go without a prompt, because nothing is lost
Limits stop adding. They never take away.
A free plan needs limits. Ours only decide whether you can add something new. Whatever you've already added stays yours to read, search, edit and sync, whatever happens to your subscription.
- Free has every feature except Insights, for up to 20 contacts and companies
- When Pro ends, nothing is deleted or locked
- Shops beyond the limit wait, and arrive with their full history when there's room
Nothing interrupts you uninvited.
Software earns your attention by being useful when you ask for it. Local CRM doesn't open on an upgrade pitch or count down a trial, and when a sync brings a lot of news at once, it sends one summary instead of a burst of notifications.
- The upgrade screen opens only at a limit, or from Settings
- No free trial to remember to cancel
- More than three new clients in one sync become a single notification
Work the way your devices already do.
Nobody should have to learn a CRM's private language. Local CRM uses the fields, labels and name order of the Contacts app, calls through Phone and FaceTime, writes through your own mail app, and follows your text size and contrast settings.
- The same contact fields and labels as the Contacts app
- Text follows Dynamic Type; colors keep WCAG contrast in light, dark and Increase Contrast
- Search finds names however they're typed, in any script
Say plainly what will happen.
Every message in Local CRM has one job: to say what happened or what will happen, and what you can do next. Errors say how to fix the problem. Empty screens say why they're empty and how to fill them.
- Buttons are named after what they do: Delete Contact, Remove Link
- A banner says one thing and offers the next step
- A filtered list that finds nothing says so, instead of just looking empty
